he Lost Children’s Place is a Master of Design Capstone proposal prepared by Bernadett Butson, Graham Hannah and Sara Sohrabian for a permanent public space in Sydney dedicated to Australia’s five million adult survivors of child abuse. The project transforms the parklands near the Art Gallery of New South Wales into a multi-layered environment for healing. Rooted in spatial psychology and inspired by the visual metaphors of artist such as Shaun Tan, the design moves away from rigid monumentality to balance quiet reflection with spaces for sensory play, storytelling, and celebration.
